What a Difference a Book Makes

I began my reading of the Book of Mosiah the day after the impeachment trial ended in an acquittal (7 February 2020). As I noted at the end of the previous book, the trial had ended but there “was no peace.”

Today I began reading the Book of Alma. The world is basically in total chaos as a result of fighting a new virus whose uncertainty has everyone panicking. People are self-quarantined (or law-quarantined) in their homes. There are shortages of commodities (proverbially toilet tissue, but other things as well). The economy is being affected in unforeseen (at least by me) ways.

I can’t help but wonder what the world will be like after the next 40 days.
